TNF has partnered with these beneficiary organisations to supplement the primary requirements of the children in their care.
Importantly, TNF strives to focus on interaction with the children to socialise, nurture and love them, as well as providing material support.
TNF’s Winter Campaign - Project Polar BEAR (Bringing Empathy and Relief) aims to donate Polar BEAR Packs each year, free of charge, to orphaned and homeless children who need these winter essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant.
Each Polar BEAR Package contains a new blanket, a scarf, a beanie, gloves, warm socks and a soft toy. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Polar BEAR reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children we serve.
Dark Fibre Africa has generously stepped in as the corporate sponsor for this event, as part of their efforts to support poverty alleviation in the communities where they conduct business.
Dark Fibre Africa is a proudly South African Company, “We acknowledge our responsibility to all Communities and making a difference in our beautiful country, Dark Fibre Africa are privileged to be able to participate in this initiative. We hope that our sponsorship will allow The Ntshulisa Foundation to raise their profile and continue to provide support services to those who need it, particularly orphans and vulnerable children.” – Khudu Pitje, Managing Director.
The Spellbound group has played a major part in Project Polar BEAR with the sponsorship of soft toys, Disney bath products and other goodies to be included to the Polar Bear Packs.
The beneficiaries of this distribution are homeless children and orphanages in the Hillbrow and Yeoville Area. The core objective of this initiative is to provide warmth, love and care to orphans in need of basic provision of winter goods.
“As the Ntshulisa Foundation we would really like to thank both DFA and the Spellbound Group for supporting us in this and other endeavours. The Ntshulisa foundation tries to reach as many orphanages as possible each year and through distributions like this we are able to meet the needs of the truly underprivileged youth and at the same time we can raise awareness around the issues we deal with on a daily basis. As we approach Winter, we hope that everyone will come out to show their support by donating winter goods.
